Bob is a way more complicated guy sometimes than I realized. I’ve spent most of my life thinking I was the simplest of humans with incredibly basic needs. While the needs part probably is still true, I find that my d broad range of intellectual investments have turned me into a more complicated individual than I had thought.
It seems like every day there is some “new” thing, some grand idea or (as I like to call them) “Intellectual Investments” that I discover.
What is an intellectual investment?
Well….they’re ideas essentially and most of us have ideas…the DIFFERENCE for me is that I tend to grab onto them and run. From Radio, Web Sites, Electronics, Viral Marketing, Music and so much more, there is always something that has my undivided attention….and once I’ve done that, I’m on to the next “big thing.”
There is even a chance that one of these days I’ll figure out how to monetize them!
Meanwhile, I’m just a small town guy, born and raised on the wrong end of an old dirt road…the last house out of town and then it was “lights out.” When I arrived at Storrs CT for College it was a huge culture shock. By the time I was 21 I was a Military “has been” and from there it all got really interesting.
I’ve used nearly all of my Nine Lives and yet, here I am, still standing…..or at least sitting naked on a bean bag chair eating cheeto’s and writing stuff that maybe someone willl read someday. Hey, it could happen!
Now 53 years into a Broadcast Career that began in that same small town in 1966, I find myself challenged by new delivery mechanisms, and THAT is what this “Report” is all about. New media, all to dovetail into our new media RADIO (You can listen 24/7/365 below on our player).
With 11 Stations online these days, six different business ventures and the demands of News and Commentary on a daily basis, Bob finds himself to be a pretty busy guy. It’s 1:14 in the Morning here on the East Coast as I write this, and I’ve been at it non-stop since 7:15 yesterday morning. It makes for long days, but if you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
From the bottom of my heart I’d like to say THANK YOU for coming along on this journey with me. I hope you’ll find my work both entertaining and informative.
